In a surprising partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.

The adventure concentrates on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Features

Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
